A laboratory technician for Biology is needed at our college from August 9th, 2010. The successful candidate should possess a suitable qualification in Biology, and a good command of English, as he or she will need to communicate both orally and in writing with English speaking colleagues. The US College Counseling program advises Chinese students on how to select and apply to American colleges. Successful counseling entails one on one meetings with students, meetings with parents, additional rese/arch to make sure students fit their schools, proof-reading applications, and continuing research into changing conditions.
The associate counselor plays an important role in the smooth running of the US college application process. Job responsibilities include:
Maintaining the research center
Dedicated time in the research center to help students complete online applications
Coordinating college representative visits
Arranging student participation in nearby college fairs
Participating in the OSO college tutorial program
Helping the school webmaster maintain the OSO website
Providing interpretation during counselor-parent meetings
Qualifications: 4 year college degree; out-going dynamic personality; willingness to work in China; team player; experience working with high school students a plus; experience living abroad also favorable.
