     大家晚上好！今天是一个美好的夜晚，我们在这里隆重集会，举行我院第五届毕业典礼大会。首先，我谨代表学校向取得第五连冠优异成绩的全体毕业生表示热烈的祝贺，向我院全体中外教职员工的辛勤工作表示衷心的感谢！对一直支持和帮助我校办学的家长们表示衷心的感谢！

     A very good evening to you all. It is indeed a good evening as we celebrate our fifth graduation. Firstly, please allow me to congratulate all the graduates who have achieved fantastic results and who made this SCIE’s fifth year of success in a row. I would also like to thank all the local and expatriate staff who have put in another year of hard work, and all our parents who have always given us their full support.
       还有对我的老搭档 —— 教学副院长Jim.Glancy和物理组长Don多年的大力支持与帮助表示感谢！并预祝他们在北京分校的工作取得更大的成绩！
        Furthermore, I would like to thank my old partners, Academic Head Mr. Jim Glancy and HOD Physics Mr. Don Erskine, for their many years of dedication and professionalism. I wish them every success at the new Beijing Campus.
        同学们！二至四年前，你们满怀希望和憧憬，来到了深圳教育国际交流学院，成为了我校的第五批学生。这四年是不寻常的四年，在这四年中你们和学院风雨同舟、荣辱与共、共同奋斗、共创辉煌。
        Students, you came to us two to four years ago, full of hope and anticipation, and became our fifth batch of graduates tonight. The last few years have been quite special, because you and the school have fought the same battles, shed the same tears and enjoyed the same victories. 
       学院创办五年来，一直按照“名校、名师、名课堂”的要求，严把教育、教学质量关，学校按照“以人为本、学生第一”的理念，尊重学生个性，挖掘学生潜力，为了学生的全面发展，切实狠抓教育和管理工作。这几年我校制定了“教工手册”、“学生手册”、“A-LEVEL 和IGCSE 学习指导手册”等八个手册，努力做到“依法治校、从严治学，英语立学、勤奋好学、一流教学”的“五学”模式。五年来我们摸索到A-level教学的规律并打造出了学院的知名品牌。五年的历史，见证了学校的创业与崛起！五年的历史，见证了学校的起步与辉煌！
        In the five years since SCIE was established, we have followed the principles of Good School, Good Teachers and Good Classrooms, placing great importance on the quality of classroom teaching. We adopted the student-centered approach, respecting each student’s individuality and striving to develop their potential. In order to organise school management in all aspects, we have produced a series of handbooks and manuals, so that the rule of law, the importance of English, and professional methods of teaching are now firmly established. In the last five years, we have explored various approaches to international education and have been lucky enough to hit upon an effective model, thus producing the best international High School in China. Five years of history have witnessed the rise of a great school and foretell a greater future to come.
        杨汀、杨欣玫、江鑫 、刘帆、侯兆旭、这一个个响亮的名字，代表了我校学生的价值取向和不断追求卓越的精神！这一串串闪光的音符，普写了SCIE 打造中国A-level知名品牌的绚丽篇章！
        Siva Yang, Kitty Yang, Jacob Jiang, Stephan Liu and David Hou: these names invoke an unceasing spirit of pursuing excellence, the basis of SCIE’s value system. These names, like musical notes, come together to produce a fantastic symphony that is the No. 1 A-Level school in China.
       我校以优良的学风、务实的校风、一流的教学、鲜明的办学特色，赢得了社会各界的良好可卑！我校现已成为；出国莘莘学子心驶神往的求学圣地，吸引着五方优秀学生纷至而来！
       SCIE is renowned for its culture of academic excellence and rigorous teaching practices. These have been recognized by students and their parents in the wider community and, as a result, we have truly become a springboard for Chinese High School students dreaming of achieving top class Western tertiary education, and have attracted high quality students from all over the country
      四年来，你们把辛勤的汗水，奋斗的足迹，朗朗的笑声，潇洒的舞姿，留在了SCIE。你们在中外教师的辛勤教育下，圆满地完成了大学预科的学业：在135名毕业生共收到英国、美国、加拿大和澳大利亚等581份国外著名大学预录取和录取通知书：其中8人被牛津、剑桥大学录取，在英国排名前25名的大学，我们全部囊括。美国前30名的大学中我们有22份录取通知书！你们不仅取得了骄人的业绩，更培养了较强的自我发展能力；你们不仅发展了良好的个性特长，更领悟了团结友爱的真谛！
       In the last few years, you have sowed the seeds of diligence, and now you are reaping a rich harvest in the form of university offers. Among the 134 graduates who are with us tonight, 581 offers have been received from all over the world. Of those, eight came from Oxford and Cambridge. All the top 25 universities in the UK are featured in the offers made. Not only did you achieve fantastic academic results, you also developed into mature, responsible and generous young adults.
      今天，你们意气风发、斗志昂扬！明天你们将远涉重洋奔赴世界一流大学深造。在这收获的季节里，你们洒下的汗水已经结出了累累硕果。此时此刻，充盈在我们心间的，既有师生之情，又有惜别之意，更有“青出于蓝而胜于蓝”的骄傲和自豪。在你们即将离开母校之际，我以一位学长和朋友的身份，简要地谈三点想法，算是离别赠言。
      Soon you will go off to various tertiary institutions for your further education, in the process of pursuing your dreams and realising your personal values. In this season of harvest your hard work has turned into abundant fruit. At this very moment I’m sure all teachers are feeling a strong sense of pride but also loss. As you are about to embark on your next journey in life, I would like to share a few thoughts with you.
       一、同学们！学校的学习生活，已经为你们实现理想、成就事业奠定了良好的基础，但是也应当看到，当今世界社会竞争将日益激烈，而这种竞争归根结底就是人的综合素质的竞争。因此，希望同学要学会在各种艰苦、复杂的环境中培养自己的意志品质、道德情操，不断提高自身的综合素质。
       Students, what you have achieved here at SCIE is a sound basis on which to build a bright future. It should also be noted that today’s world is getting increasingly competitive, and only the ones with overall quality will win out. Therefore I sincerely hope that all of you prepare yourselves mentally to stay the course for the long haul, to adapt to new and challenging situations, and to continuously develop your inner qualities.
     二、希望同学们离开母校后，永远包容坚毅、德佳学优。包容是一种态度,是一种认识，是一种胸襟,是一种境界，是一种中华民族的传统核心价值。  坚毅是一种责任,是一种追求,是一种精神,是一种道德，同样是一种中华民族的传统核心的价值。
         May you all be accommodating yet strong willed, academically able and morally noble. Being accommodating is an attitude, a state of mind. It’s the core value of Chinese culture. Being strong-willed is a responsibility, and a moral goal. It’s also at the heart of what being Chinese is all about.
      同学们毕业之后，在未来的求学及人生路上，必然面对更加丰富多元的文化、生活和族群，一定要学会包容，学会与人类社会，与大自然和谐共处。但包容是有限度、有原则的，心中的理想一定不要轻易放弃。要在包容中不懈地追求，求同存异，共创共赢,德佳学优。 
      You may have completed your secondary education, but your road ahead is still very long and full of uncertainty. You are bound to come across people of differing views and values, many of which will not be the same as your own. That is where your open mind and tolerance come in. You’ll need to learn to co-exist, to learn from one another. Of course, you will also need to be principled and determined, and never lose sight of the big picture.
        三、同学们！你们是我校的第五批校友。希望同学们离开学校之后，无论走到哪里，都要继续关心和支持母校的发展，为母校提供各种信息。以自己的行动和业绩为母校增光，今天你们以母校为荣，明天母校以你们为荣。同学们，母校会永远支持、关心和帮助你们，并为你们所取得的每一项成绩而自豪；同时，我们更盼望同学们今后常回家看看母校的发展与变化！
       Students! You are our fifth group of alumni. I hereby sincerely hope that all students here will keep SCIE informed with valuable information, and honour it with your words and deeds. We will try and keep in touch, and see how you go. We’ll still take pride in all your future achievements. Do come and visit us when you are in town.
     大鹏一日同风起，扶摇直上九万里！ 最后，预祝同学们一路顺风，鹏程万里！谢谢大家！
