The second Science Technology Festival, organised by relevant Student Union officials with great help from the Secretariat, a sub-branch of the Student Union, and overseen by the Student Affairs Department, was held on 12th and 13th of March.
　　第二届SCIE科技节于3月12号及13号在我校召开，本次活动是在学生处的监管下，由学生会及秘书处的同学们组织的。

　　There was an underlying theme of “environmental friendliness” throughout the festival. New ideas were brought in this time. Besides the traditional activities like “Quiz”, “Water Rocket” and “Egg Reentry”, creative ones such as Spaghetti Bridge, Making Soap Bubbles and so on were featured for the first time. All participating students showed a high degree of enthusiasm and great skills in various activities, some of which evoked childhood memories, like the Rubber-band Airplanes. Many staff, local and expatriate alike, also seemed to have enjoyed this occasion.
　　贯穿于本次活动的基本主题是“环保”。与上次相比，这次同学们想出了很多新点子。除了传统的活动如“问答比赛”，“水火箭”，“再入蛋”等，也有一些创新的活动如“意大利面桥”，“肥皂泡”等首次上演的活动。参与的学生们都表现出了极大的热情和高超的技巧。很多活动勾起了我们对童年的记忆，如“橡胶带飞机”。我校的许多中方老师及外教也都乐在其中。
　　

　　One of the highlights was the Fashion Show, which can be described as a visual feast. Designers used limited materials, which had to be recycled, and unlimited imagination, to come up with incredible outfits. Our art teacher Cedric, who was on the judging panel, was very pleased with the creativity shown.
　　活动中的一个点亮是时装秀，大家形容它是一场视觉盛宴。设计者们用很有限的可回收的材料和他们无限的创意，做出了让人难以置信的一套套精美的衣服。我校艺术老师Cedric，作为裁判员，对这场秀给予了非常高的评价。
　　　　　　　　　　　　

　　The chief organiser, Roxy Xiong of A1-3 said, “It was really a tough challenge to match the success of last time. But we pulled it off!” She continued, “I’d like to thank so many people, our hard-working helpers of the Secretariat, the whole Student Union, poster-maker Phil and all the actors in the promotional film! Last but not least, I want to say thank you ten times to Joey of the SAO. Without his strong support, we could not have been so successful. I am looking forward to next year’s festival already!”
　　本次科技届的主要组织者之一，A1.3班的熊诗琦同学说“第一次科技节的成功举办对我们来说是一个很大的挑战，但最终我们也顺利完成了！我想要感谢很多人，包括秘书处辛勤工作的同学们，整个学生会，制作海报的朱子蓬还有参与宣传片的所有演员！最后，我要万分地感谢学生处主任郑会翊老师。如果没有他的大力支持，这次活动不可能顺利地召开。而此时，我已经开始期待着明年的科技节了！
