On Friday, April 17th, 36 faculty members from different departments departed for a weekend trip to Jiang Men. The trip, which was organized by SCIE Staff Club, consisted of various activities, including a visit to the local hot spring and hiking on the first day, and sight seeing on the second.
4月17日,星期五,来自各学科组的36名教职员工从SCIE出发前往江门开始为期两天的周末旅行。本次出游由SCIE教工俱乐部组织,包括了各种活动,第一天是参观当地的温泉和徒步旅行,第二天是观赏自然风景。
“I think it was a well organized trip and I enjoyed it very much," said Mic Meng, the lab technician from the chemistry department. ”The hot spring was very close to the place we were staying at; it was very convenient and relaxing.”
“我觉得这次活动组织得非常好,大家也都玩得很尽兴,”化学组孟老师谈到,”温泉就在我们住所的附近,很方便。”
Sightseeing on the second day of the trip was also a popular event. Some staff said the tour to the site of the battleground of the Ya Men sea battle, an important battle in the Song Dynasty, had been inspiring. Feeling the atmosphere at an important historical site was an experience that was worth remembering.

Continued from page 3)SCIE Staff Club regularly holds outing trips for staff, usually once each semester. The school pays for most of the expenses with a small contribution from each employee. The aim of this exercise is to provide a platform for teachers to interact with one another outside the work environment, as well as allowing them to have some R & R.
