As a college we have started three very important programs which will help in the development of our students and staff in the coming years.

　　本学期我们开展了三项非常重要的项目，在未来的一年中将会对我们的学生和老师们起到很大的帮助。

　　Firstly, we are implementing an English policy.  The aim of this policy is to improve the use of English by all our students and staff each academic year.  English is the language of instruction in our college and as such is vital for every student’s success.  So we are increasing the quantity and improving the quality of English used.

　　首先，我们推出了英语学习制度。目标是在本学年内提高所有学生及教师的英语水平。我校的教学语言是英语，因此对于每一个学生来说学好英语是至关重要的事。因此我们要不断提高使用英语的频率及水平。

　　We have introduced a very wide-ranging extra-curricular program to allow students to develop those skills and attributes which are not part of the mainstream curriculum.  Extra-curricular activities should form a major part of each student’s life and I encourage all students to participate fully and make the most of their opportunity.

　　同样，本学期新开设了内容丰富的各项课外活动以帮助学生发展其各项技能。课外活动应该是学生们学校生活的重要部分，因此我鼓励所有的同学都要尽可能地参与其中。

　　Finally, we have a new department which has opened in the college this academic year, with three full time counselors, Maryann O’Donnell, Michael Hayes and Piotr Dabrowski advising students on how to apply to US universities.  I strongly advise all students interested in applying to US colleges to seek the help of the counselors as soon as possible with their application.

　　最后，我校新开设 了一个部门-----美国留学指导中心，我们有三位新的全职指导教师：Maryann O’Donnell, Michael Hayes and Piotr Dabrowski，他们将为申请美国大学的同学们提供建议和帮助。因此，我强烈推荐这些同学能尽早地去联系这几位指导老师。
