One of SCIE’s most anticipated entertainment events, the Halloween Party on Monday 2nd November, was a great success. Following in the footsteps of last year’s Halloween, the Entertainment Department preserved traditional popular events such as the ghost house, band performances and treasure hunt while introducing new varieties such as dancing, student fairs, and extemporaneous performances.
        作为SCIE最令人期待的娱乐活动之一，11月2号举办的万圣节聚会取得了圆满成功。学生会娱乐部延用了去年受到欢迎的一些项目如鬼屋，乐队表演和寻宝的同时，又引进了一些新的活动，舞会，学生集会以及即兴演出。



One of the night’s biggest highlights, dancing, was one of this year’s Halloween’s most jazzy elements. Also hosted by the Entertainment Department, the dancing was planned to be held during the party as a performance, inviting many talented groups and individuals, including Latin dance fanatic Sam Cui of A1-6, dance group Spark, and school icon William Yue of A2-7. The closed party held in the ping pong room was another event which was met with great enthusiasm. Teachers and students paid an entrance fee to enjoy games, drinks, and a great disco inside.
        当晚最大的亮点之一舞会成为了今年聚会最令人兴奋的节目，由学生会娱乐部策划，他们邀请了很多极具表演天赋的团体和个人，包括A1-6的拉丁舞王崔昊，舞队Spark,以及学生偶像A1-7的岳文博。在乒乓球室举行的聚会也受到了大家的欢迎。学生和老师需交费入内，玩游戏，喝饮料，跳舞。
The basketball court was another area that was further developed compared to last year’s Halloween. Groups hoping to make a profit, including classes and clubs, set up stands offering various delicacies or services.
           和去年相比，今年篮球场的策划使用有了进步。同学们以班级或俱乐部分成各小组，向大家提供各种点心或服务以赚点钱。
         ”I was delighted with the high participation rate from both teachers and students,“ says Serena Zhu, head of the Entertainment Department. ”People have been very supportive of my work, making it a much easier task.“ Serena also showed great appreciation for other departments of the SU who helped with decorating the scene. When asked whether she thought there were any imperfections for the night, she mentioned the postponement of the dancing show due to problems with the speakers. ”The dancing show had to be postponed to the following week due to the acoustic equipment overheating. I want to thank everyone who was looking forward to the performance for being understanding and patient.”
          “看到老师和同学们都如此积极地参与到这次活动中我真的很高兴。”娱乐部长朱嘉怡同学说，“大家都很支持我的工作，因此准备的过程变得简单得多了。”她同样向学生会其它部门帮助布景表示感谢。当被问及当晚是否有什么美中不足时，她答道因喇叭故障舞会不得不延迟举行：“因音响问题舞会不得不延迟举行，我想谢谢的有期待这场演出的同学们，谢谢你们的理解与耐心。”
